The security official would ask the visitor for their driver license, place the license in the above receptacle for a few seconds, and then remove and return to the driver. Once completed, the driver license will have been recorded and retained on the hard drive. This added layer of security combined with vehicle/license plate cameras allows homeowner’s associations and law enforcement to keep track of individuals entering/exiting a premises.
